In order to increase the price transparency for the purpose of the code of conduct the following measures have been taken:
Publication of the price list
The price list is available for download in German and English on our website.
Immediately granted discounts and rebates
In the Code of Conduct the attention is explicitly drawn to the announcement of possible discounts and rebates. For the purpose of the Code of Conduct, discounts are price reductions applicable ex ante to published prices; rebates are price reductions which apply ex post to the cumulative amount invoiced or paid in a certain time period. The CSD.Austria price structure provides both discounts and volume-dependent end-of-the-year rebates.
In the area of safekeeping of securities discounts are applicable in the form of maximum fees (caps) for single holdings (ISINs) if the related securities, either with a nominal value or quoted in units, are represented in global certificates, as well as for mutual funds, if they are safekept in the OeKB's vault. Details on discounts are to be found in the price list in chapter 2.1.1.2.1 (first table), and for the settlement of off-exchange securities transactions in chapter 1.1.1.
Details on rebates are to be found in the price list for the safekeeping of securities in chapter 2.1.1.2.1 (second table).
Examples for prices and simulation of prices
Detailed examples of how to calculate the fees, discounts and rebates are provided in section 4 of the CSD.Austria's price list.
Beyond these examples, OeKB will be pleased to calculate, on a simulation basis, safekeeping- and transactions fees for any hypothetical holdings that you wish to indicate. To request such a calculation, please fill in the Excel sheet titled "Fee simulation" which is found in the download area and to send it to csd.austria@oekb.at. Within a few days you will receive the overview specific for your hypothetical scenario, both in summary form and broken down by individual ISINs.
Better comparability of service fees
The European Central Securities Depositories Association (ECSDA) has published a service "Conversion Table". The table maps the entries of the CSD's tariff brochure to a set of common global services definitions, based on the Commission's definitions for post-trading services.
