The Austrian capital market follows the system of bearer securities. For registered securities to be traded in Vienna an Austrian Depositary Certificate (ADC) could be necessary.
Consequently ADCs are one way for registered securities to allow access to the liquidity of the Austrian capital market. ADCs are bearer securities that confer the rights associated with the registered instrument.
