• The guarantee premium primarily depends on the type of insurance, the classification of the importing/host country, the loan tenor and the creditworthiness of the foreign contracting partner/guarantor.
• For export credits with a repayment period of 2 years or more the OECD minimum premium benchmarks apply to the political risk premium.
• A one-off handling fee will also be charged. 
• Payment of the guarantee premium is flexible. In addition to up front payment, the premium may be paid either in part on issue of the policy, in part on utilisation of credit (="extended up front") or partly up front, partly spread over the repayment period (="margin").
