OeKB takes on honour in Venice

OeKB best Export Credit Agency (ECA) 2016

For several years, Trade & Export Finance (TXF), a renowned London-based conference and trend analysis agency, has been awarding Exporters' Choice Awards in several categories. In 2016, OeKB won the Export Credit Agencies (ECA) category for the first time after its already good performance in the previous years.

At a conference in Venice in early June, the awards were handed over to the winners. Helmut Bernkopf, Member of the Board, and Ferdinand Schipfer, then OeKB Director for Export Guarantees, accepted the award and are delighted with the first place: "We are very happy about this award and it is very motivating to see that our constant commitment for the benefit of the exporting industry is appreciated. However, this price does not make us complacent, but rather spurs us on to continue working with full commitment for Austria’s economy. "

Top marks in customer care and competence

The results are based on a telephone survey of more than 100 export companies from 25 countries. The quality of ECAs was questioned in nine different dimensions such as business understanding, flexibility, risk appetite, product range or customer orientation. The overall result consists of the evaluation of these key criteria. OeKB received particularly good marks for customer support and expertise.
