A potential project that qualifies for concessional financing always starts with a good idea - and a good plan. A plan that promotes development in the target country and opens up new opportunities for Austrian companies. The Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) makes resources available, via OeKB, for identifying and preparing specific projects in countries eligible for soft loans.
New opportunities for you - and for the recipient country
If you, as an Austrian company, see business opportunities in a public infrastructure project in a developing or emerging country, you can make your potential business partner aware of the “Project Preparation Programme". With this program, the Federal Ministry of Finance makes resources available for preparatory measures, such as studies and tender documents.
In the recipient countries, the program is intended to provide an impulse for the development of sustainable, effective projects. The program currently runs until the 31 December 2024.

Possible recipient countries
Basically, the "Project Preparation Programme" aims at developing and emerging countries that qualify for concessional financing according to the OECD DAC list.
